Sponge Iron units are usually installed with Induction or Electric arc furnaces. Many such units which start with Iron ore and finally produce billets are called
“Integrated Mini Steel Plants”.
Transweigh has supplied numerous Furnace feeding systems to these plants.
The system consists of :
Sponge Iron/DRI feeding to the storage hopper
Control feed during charging of the furnace as per requirement
Material feeding to either of the inlets by swiveling arrangement.
